Short answer: we supply pure nickel wire in Ni200, Ni201, N4 and N6, diameter φ0.03 - φ10 mm, bright annealed, in coils or straight-cut lengths.
| Grade | Ni % | C % | ρ20 (μΩ·m) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ni200 | ≥99.6 | ≤0.15 | 0.096 | Standard commercial pure nickel |
| Ni201 | ≥99.0 | ≤0.02 | 0.096 | Low carbon, for elevated-temperature service |
| N4 | ≥99.9 | - | 0.096 | Chinese high-purity designation |
| N6 | ≥99.5 | - | 0.096 | Chinese general-purpose designation |
Ni200 and Ni201 differ mainly in carbon content, which governs how the material behaves above about 300 °C. For electrochemical or battery work at moderate temperature, Ni200 is the usual choice. For higher-temperature or welded assemblies, ask for Ni201.
| Item | Range | Tolerance |
|---|---|---|
| Diameter | φ0.03 - 10 mm 0.0012" - 0.394" | ±0.002 mm (fine) ±0.02 mm (<1 mm) ±0.03 mm (1-3 mm) ±0.08 mm (>3 mm) |
| Straight-cut length | up to 3,000 mm up to 118" | ±2 mm |
| Straightness (straight-cut) | - | ≤3 mm per metre |
| Coil | spool or coil | to your spool weight |
| Condition | - | Annealed soft / half-hard |
| Surface | - | Bright, no scale, no scratches |
| Diameter | Weight per metre | Weight per 1,000 mm straight length |
|---|---|---|
| φ1.0 mm | 6.98 g/m | 6.98 g |
| φ3.0 mm | 62.8 g/m | 62.8 g |
| φ5.0 mm | 175 g/m | 175 g |
| φ10.0 mm | 699 g/m | 699 g |
Basis: density 8.9 g/cm³. For a 1 m straight-cut at φ10 mm expect roughly 0.7 kg per piece.
